Last Wednesday (March 6), TV5 radio arm Radyo Singko’s Relasyon was conferred the Outstanding Achievement in Broadcast Media at the 7th Hildegarde Awards for Women in Media and Communication. The said award is organized annually by the Mass Communication Department of St. Scholastica’s College Manila. Airing daily at 12NN to 6PM and hosted by NEWS5 Chief Luchi Cruz-Valdes and resident legal analyst Atty. Mel Sta. Maria, Relasyon seeks to answer family and relationship queries by their listeners.
Meanwhile, the 9th USTv Students’ Choice Awards declared Talentadong Pinoy the Best Reality Show at the awarding ceremony held last Thursday (March 7) at the University of Santo Tomas. The UST students’ reality show of choice is proven the country’s most awarded program under this format after receiving numerous recognitions here and abroad, including two consecutive nominations at the highly-coveted Asian TV Awards.
At the 11th Gawad Tanglaw (Tagapuring mga Akademisyan ng Aninong Gumagalaw) which is comprised of esteemed group of academicians, six Kapatid programs and personalities were declared the best in various categories at last Thursday’s ceremony held at Colegio de San Juan de Letran – Calamba. The following were recognized during the night’s festivities: Paolo Bediones for Best News Program Anchor, Public Atorni as the Best Public Affairs Program, The Million Peso Money Drop for Best Game Show, Untold Stories as the Best Drama Anthology, Cristy Fermin as the Best Entertainment Columnist (Filipino) and Dolly Anne Carvajal as the Best Entertainment Columnist (English) Hall of Famer.
Lastly, the 48th Annual Anvil Awards recognized three campaigns that highlight TV5’s excellence in public relations and communications—#AskMsWorldPH (under the Public Relations Tools – Social Media Campaign category), InterAksyon: The TV5 Online News Portal (under Public Relations Tools – Website Design category), and Rescue5 (under the PR Programs directed at Specific Stakeholders/Special Interest Groups category). Organized by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), this year’s Anvil Awards’ ceremony was held last Wednesday (March 6) at at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel.
