GMA Network’s sunday noontime Musical-variety show “Party Pilipinas” was recognized by the academic community as students of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) voted for the show as their Choice of Best Talk Variety Program in the recently held 9th USTv Students’ Choice Awards. This is the second award given to “Party Pilipinas” by a student awards, first is from University of Mindanao Student Survey (2012). Also won is “party Pilipinas” regular performer Julie Anne San Jose for Best Local Music Video Artist.
The USTv Students’ Choice Awards is an annual awarding ceremony that recognizes excellence and Christian values in local television programs and personalities. Awards are based on students’ preferences survey that accounts for Catholic values. USTv Awards 2013 winners were announced Thursday, March 7, 2013, at the UST Plaza Mayor.

Student Leaders’ Choice of TV Program – Eat Bulaga
Best Gag Show – Bubble Gang
Best Situational Comedy or Sitcom – Pepito Manaloto
Best Female News & Current Affairs Program Host – Jessica Soho
Best Documentary Program – i-Witness
Best Magazine Program – Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho
Best Sports Personality – Chris Tiu
Special Citation on Documentary Drama Special – The Word Exposed and San Pedro Calungsod (GMA News TV)
