He was joined by Mark Fischer, EVP and Managing Director of UFC Asia who said that the Philippines is in the top 3 market of the UFC in Asia. During a press conference held at ABS-CBN, Muñoz talked about his Filipino heritage, his family, and his upcoming fight in UFC 162 versus Tim Boetsch.
The card will mark his return to the Octagon after his middleweight bout with Chris Weidman in UFC on Fuel TV last year. He said that he is currently training on his striking, which according to him, is his weakest aspect.
“I’m doing my striking training with my coach. This weakness is something that I can correct and as an athlete, I’m trying my best to improve in every aspect,” Muñoz said.
As a treat to his fans, he will have a public training at the SM MOA Music Hall on Sunday (March 10), at 3:00 p.m. The UFC Mark Muñoz Media Tour is brought to you by Balls Channel (SkyCable Ch. 34 & Destiny Cable ch. 36).
