Primetime Queen Marian Rivera bested Superstar Nora Aunor, Dawn Zulueta and other big stars for Best Actress in the recently concluded Golden Screen TV Awards 2013. Marian received the said recognition for her excellent performance in GMA Network‘s first epicserye “Amaya” where she played a strong female warrior who is committed in fighting for justice.
“Amaya” is being praised as the one that revolutionized the landscape of Philippine TV. It is the most expensive and grandest show that the Kapuso Network is producing.
Upon recieving the award, she said, “Sabi nga nila, ang mga bagay na nangyayari, na gumagawa ka ng mabuti sa kapwa mo e maganda ang balik niyan. Kung anuman ang mga something na ‘yan, e, okay na ‘yan. Ang importante e good vibes lang tayo. Sabi ko nga, hindi pa ako nababaliw. Ang dami ko pang hindi nagagawa. Siguro ito ay unang hakbang para lalo ko pang pagbutihin ang trabaho ko.”
