From giving joy to its loyal ‘madlang people,’ the “It’s Showtime” hosts venture into acting to portray the inspiring stories of families who performed in the program’s family talent competition “Bida Kapamilya.”
In an interview with www.abs-cbnnews.com, Billy Crawford expressed anxiety over crying onscreen as he is more known for hosting and singing.
“I’m afraid and embarrassed. I don’t even cry around my family so we’ll see,” said Billy, who will play an aspiring priest in an episode with co-hosts Kuya Kim Atienza and Jugs Jugueta.
It will be aired back-to-back with the episode of Vice Ganda and Karylle where they take on the role of a married couple tomorrow (March 26). Anne Curtis, meanwhile, will star alongside Coleen Garcia in a moving father-daughter story that airs Wednesday (March 27).
Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, and Teddy Corpuz’s episode, which was aired yesterday (March 25), tackled the story of a man who is willing to give everything to the woman he loves even though she already has several children with a previous husband.
“It feels different. Our acting usually just involves ‘Sine Mo ‘To’ where it’s just all fun, comedy, and very light,” said Coleen.
