DZMM helps voters in dissecting the personality and plans of neophyte and veteran politicians running for different government positions in “Bagito o Beterano? The DZMM Halalan 2013 Forum” this Saturday (Feb 9), 4 PM at the University of the East – Recto Main Theater that will be broadcast live on DZMM Radyo Patrol Sais Trenta, DZMM TeleRadyo and dzmm.com.ph.
Making up the forum’s “beterano” panel are senatorial candidates, former senators Ernesto Maceda and Jun Magsaysay, Cong. Jack Enrile, Cong. Sonny Angara and mayor Alfredo Lim who will run again for mayor in Manila, while the “bagito” panel will be comprised of senatorial candidates Grace Poe, Bro. Eddie Villanueva, Bam Aquino, gubernatorial candidate for Masbate Fr. Leo Casas, and former TV reporter Sol Aragones, who will run for representative of the 3rd District of Laguna.
What are their positions on the most controversial issues in the country, and how does their experience influence their political standpoint?
“Bagito o Beterano: The DZMM Halalan 2013 Forum” is part of a series of debates and election specials produced by Mega Manila’s number one AM radio station to help voters get to know the candidates for different government posts.
One of these includes the segment in the program “Dos Por Dos” where broadcast journalists Anthony Taberna and Gerry Baja scrutinize one senatorial candidate every Monday.
Alvin Elchico and Atty. Katrina Legarda, meanwhile, devote an hour of “S.R.O.: Suhestiyon, Reaksyon, Opinyon” on Fridays to its “Suriang Bayan” segment, where they interview Comelec officials and dissect election-related concerns.
DZMM Radyo Patrol 630, meanwhile, was picked by Filipino netizens as their favorite AM radio station in an online poll conducted by top entertainment blogs Showbiznest, LionHearTV, and Starmometer. It was named Favorite AM Radio Station in the Netizens’ Choice Awards after receiving 60% of the votes obtained since November 2012.
