Featured as the ‘daily serving’ of weekly gag show “Banana Split”, the new show aims to lighten the mood of weary viewers after a long day’s work. The tagline shouts “Tara na at makibaka, makitawa. Tama na, tawa na!”
“It’s exciting how we’re going from weekly to nightly,” said Angelica Panganiban, one of the main casts of the show. “We’re inviting viewers to watch out for Banana Nite. We have a lot of treats in store, from new segments to new cast members,” she added.
The show will feature new segments such as “Ihaw Na” and “Krissy and Me”, guest artists like Bea Alonzo, Iza Calzado, and Joey Marquez, and explosive production numbers. Timely spoofs and gags will also be included in the lineup, just like in the original “Banana Split” which will still air every Saturday.
“Banana Nite” will premiere on Monday (February 25) and includes Angelica, John Prats, Zanjoe Marudo, Jason Gainza, Pooh, Melai Cantiveros, Ryan Bang, and many more. It will air weeknights after “Bandila” on ABS-CBN.
