USA TODAY (Kim Willis), January 27, 2013 – Looking for a little romantic enhancement? Andrea Bocelli’s got you covered.
The Italian tenor is targeting the Valentine’s Day market with his new Passione album, out in stores this week and streaming at life.usatoday.com. The collection of Mediterranean love songs, plus a smattering of smoochy covers (Love Me Tender and September Morn, here titled “Sara Settembre”), reunites Bocelli with David Foster, who produced the singer’s like-minded 2006 album, Amore.
Amping up the appeal, the classical crossover star sings in six languages (Italian, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Neapolitan) and duets with Jennifer Lopez (“Quizas, Quizas, Quizas”), Nelly Furtado (“Corcovado”) and the late chanteuse Edith Piaf (“La Vie En Rose”). The album also features Grammy Award nominee Chris Botti (“When I Fall In Love” and “Il NostroIncontro”).
