Now his music continues to reign supreme as NE-YO launches his sophomore single “FOREVER NOW” culled from his new album, R.E.D. (Realizing Every Dream)
With 90,000 units on its first week on the UK sales, the carrier track “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)”, NE-YO’s overall 5th #1 UK single, marks his first #1 UK hit as a Motown artist, since his move from Def Jam to Motown in January. It also marks NE-YO’s biggest #1 UK sales week and is Motown’s first #1 UK hit in 20 years, since Boyz II Men’s “End of the Road” in 1992.
The success of “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)” is underscored by the fact that NE-YO is not only an artist on the newly revitalized Motown Records, but also serves as the label’s Senior Vice President of A&R. In that post, he works closely alongside Barry Weiss, Chairman and CEO of Universal Republic and Island Def Jam Motown, and Ethiopia Habtemariam, Senior Vice President of Motown Records.
R.E.D. is NE-YO’s first album for Motown after seven hugely successful years and four RIAA gold and platinum albums as a core member of IDJ since 2005. NE-YO has seen over 8 million albums and 23 million singles sold worldwide.
