Lee Min-ho is the third Korean celebrity to endorse Bench. Last March, Bench announced that it enlisted Super Junior members Siwon and Donghae as Bench endorsers.
Lee Min-ho is one of the most popular stars in Korea. He is best known for his role as Gun Jun-pyo in the hit Korean drama “Boys Over Flowers,” an adaptation of the Japanese drama “Hana Yori Dango.” “Boys Over Flowers” won Lee Min-ho the best new actor in the 45th Baeksang Arts Awards and in the KBS Drama Awards in 2009. In 2010, he starred in the drama “Personal Taste” followed by “City Hunter” in 2011. He won the excellence award in the MBC Drama Awards 2010. He bagged the best actor and hallyu star awards for “City Hunter” in the Korea Drama Festival Awards in 2011. He is currently starring in the Korean drama “Faith,” which started airing in August.
He now joins Bench’s growing list of international endorsers who include “The Hunger Games” star Liam Hemsworth, Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars), Filipino-American singer Bruno Mars, Michael Trevino (The Vampire Diaries), Disney star Joe Jonas, David Archuleta and Korea’s Super Junior members Siwon and Donghae, among others.
“The Benchsetter Fun Meet with Lee Min-ho,” to be held on November 16 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, makes the Korean star the latest celebrity to visit the country as clothing brand endorser.
