Andi Eigenmann protrays the role of Sam, a certified playgirl and also a member of the ‘Friday Club’ with Rafi (portrayed by Anne Curtis). She will have a one-night-stand with Anton (played by Derek Ramsey) that will serve as a threat to their relationship later on.
In an interview with Andi during the blogcon on Monday, she expressed her excitement in the movie “A Secret Affair,” which she considered as a comeback movie after a long break from pregnancy.
Is this your first time to do this kind of movie?
“Yes, this is the most challenging so far. I’v never really had an opportunity to be part of something this big that’s why I’m so happy pero at the same time pa, it wasn’t really come easy for me.”
What are the difficulties you encountered in doing your role in this movie?
“Ang hirap po kasi talaga ng role na ipinortray ko at saka I’ve never really done anything like this before. So it was hard and challenging but then it was part of the reasons why I said yes to this movie. Syempre, I want to get better and gusto kong mababad sa mga taong makakatulong para mas gunaling ako at ito ang project na mas matetest ang perseverance ko at saka hardwork.”
So the role is new for you, what is the reason why you accepted it?
“I didn’t have second thoughts in portraying the other woman. I don’t really choose the roles that I portray sa kung ano siya – masama or mabait. Hindi po ganun. I choose the roles that I portray in terms of kung alam ko, I can give justice to it. If maganda, if this role can give justice to what I can do. I don’t want to categorize myself sa konting roles. Not just because I did some part of a movie just like this, na basically it’s really out of the box for me because I’ve never done something close to this before – mas mature, mas daring than all the others. I don’t want people to think that this is the only thing I can do now. What I’m trying to show here is that I am capable of doing whatever it is that you lay down to me as long as I know that maganda po ‘yung project.”
How hard for you to portray as, the other woman in this movie?
“Sobrang nahirapan po ako sa love scenes at ‘yung pagbato ng mga lines na hindi madali para sa akin talaga. Like ‘yung nakita ninyo sa trailer na pagpatong kay Derek (Ramsey), that was uneasy for me. Syempre ‘yun na and all of the love scenes.”
How hard it is to do a lovescene with Derek?
“Kasi it was my first time and mahirap po talaga siya kasi ‘yun nga po. I’ve been saying, it was like, I just came back right after I gave birth.”
So since this is like your comeback movie after giving birth, so how’s the pressure?
“I was gone for a long time and I need to prove that I can do way better because I think the industry is giving me a second chance and I’m willing to take it and show them that I deserve it. Also po, marami na akong napagdaanang controversies. Marami na ring masasakit na salitang nabato sa akin and mga judgements na parang sobrang negative that’s why mas mahirap siyang gawin para sa akin kasi they might associate my situation in real life na I’m a young mom.”
Directed by Nuel Naval, Viva Films’ “A Secret Affair” will hit theaters nationwide on October 24.
