Astig!,” shared Mykel Ong, a protege from Batangas.
Not all calls that they received were from donors, though. Some calls were from victims and relatives of victims either asking for immediate rescue or relief goods.
Meanwhile, Mindanao protege David John Llanas empathizes with the victims of the flood. He and his family went through the same ordeal when typhoon Sendong hit and inundated Cagayan de Oro City just recently.
Another protege representing Mindanao, Ruru Madrid, whose family currently lives in the flood prone Marikina City in Metro Manila is not only worried about the welfare of the victims but also of his own family.
Ruru learned last night that his family is safe since their home is located on an elevated portion of the city.
Beginning tomorrow, the proteges will be preparing for their first performance night this Sunday during the show’s live gala. This is their second gala night since their presentation to the public last Sunday, August 5.
The gala night will be aired live on Sunday, 8:30pm on GMA-7 and will be hosted by Dingdong Dantes and Carla Abellana.
