In a sit-down interview with Julia Quisumbing after the live examinations of “Artista Academy” happened yesterday at Broadway Centrum, half-American and half-Filipina, the 22-year old model Julia Quisumbing admits that she has still lot to do and learn to win in “Artista Academy.“
When asked what’s her edge among other students of Asian Academy of Television Arts (AATA), Julia said, “I guess my international feel. I can adapt to my surroundings plus I’m trying really hard to learn tagalog. You know what, it’s even harder for me because I’m doing acting, singing and dancing and learning tagalog at the same time. I have to learn more than anyone else.”
Julia also shared her experiences so far being a student of AATA, she said, “It’s very time consuming. Super stressful because you have fans that decide to love you and you don’t want to disappoint them by messing up being in the bottom 3.”
“I was so stressed up for being part of the bottom 3 because I am not that good dancer and they put me in such a strong group. These are the best dancers in the top 16. When they put me there, I knew, I wasn’t shocked that I was included in the bottom 3 for dancing. Well, I tried my best, I did what I could and moving on, I tried harder in acting too,” she added.
