ANC, the country’s most influential and trusted cable TV news channel, will launch a revitalized science and technology program “Future Perfect” with anchor Tony Velasquez to present the latest science news and features and discussions on how technological tools and systems can be best adapted for the Filipino audience premiering on ANC this Wednesday (June 13) at 7:00 p.m.
“For two years, we have managed to trailblaze on cable television to show that technology is not just an eye candy but it can be applied to real problems,” said Tony, who is also anchoring “Primetime on ANC” and “Top Story.”
“Future Perfect” which is celebrating its second anniversary this month, will not only talk on the latest inventions, gadgets, and technological advances but will also deliver one-on-one interviews with Filipino inventors and science geniuses.
Tony said he hopes to present more reports and talks on technological developments relating to or affecting education, renewable energy, and disaster mitigation as “these topics can convince people that technology can always present a solution to some of the most pressing issues of this country.”
Also premiering on Wednesday is “Inside Business” at 7:30 p.m. to be anchored by ANC business news head Coco Alcuaz, who will recap business news tidbits and lead insightful discussions on burning business issues and news developments.
“’Inside Business’ is my dream show. News happens everyday and as a journalist, sometimes I wish I had more time doing interviews or asked certain questions I was not able to bring up. That’s the thing I’ll be able to do in this show. Once a week, we’ll take people who are shaping industries and the economy and talk about what’s going on in stores, in the marketplace, and in farms,” Alcuaz said.
