“I will surely miss playing Natasha Alcantara, the character whom I have learned to love so much”, says Lovi.
Indeed, Natasha is the character that fans have learned to love, hate, and love again.
“I’m gratfeul to the writers, creative staff and our directors, for allowing me to put life into Natasha, this is so far my most memorable role on tv”, confesses the actress.
But even if “Legacy” has ended, Lovi won’t be jobless. The actress will soon start work on 2 films simultaneously for Regal Films, first of which is “Guni-Guni”.
“Guni-Guni” marks the mainstream directorial debut of Tara Illenberger. In this new horror/mystery-drama film, Lovi will have a new leading name in the face and name of Benjamin Alves who he is being groomed as the next leading man in GMA 7.
“Guni-Guni” also has an impressive cast: Empress Shuck, Ms. Gina Alajar, James Blanco, acclaimed “Ishmael” actress Ria Garcia, Julia Clarete and Child comedian Gerald Pesigan, who was previously seen in “The Mommy Returns”.
Lovi is very excited with her new role as Mylene in “Guni-Guni”. This marks Lovi’s return to the horror genre after the highly successdul “Aswang”, helmed by Jerrold Tarog.
Next in line is a drama film, “The Bride And The Lover”, which will pit her talents against fellow Kapuso lead actress, Jennylyn Mercado. And of course, the most awaited horror film of the year, Erik Matti’s “Tiktik, Aswang Chronicles,” which pairs her with Dingdong Dantes for the first time.
Meanwhile, Lovi will be in Hong Kong on June 9 for the Fun Freedom and Friendship Ball at the Hong Kong Shangrila Kowloon and on June 10 for the “Tayo Na,Magsaya at Magkaisa” Fiesta at the Hong Kong Chatter Garden.
