The first teaser trailer for Tom Hooper’s “Les Miserables” has hit the web, presenting a haunting rendition of one of the most famous songs from the musical, “I Dreamed a Dream,” sung by Anne Hathaway.
Hathaway plays troubled French factory worker Fantine who is forced to sell her hair and become a prostitute in order to survive.
“Les Miserables” the movie is an adaptation of the successful stage musical based on Victor Hugo‘s classic novel set in 19th-century France, in which a paroled prisoner named Jean Valjean seeks redemption.
