Primetime TV’s first-ever tween mermaid truly made a big splash in its pilot episode as “Aryana” soared high in national TV ratings.
According to the latest data from Kantar Media, the newest fantasy drama of ABS-CBN ruled its timeslot with a 15.6% national TV ratings, compared to the 11.7% national TV ratings of its rival program “Alice Bungisngis” of GMA.
“Aryana” lead star Ella Cruz expressed delight over her fantaserye’s recent success. “Thank you to all the TV viewers who supported us. There are much more must-see episodes in the weeks to come,” she said. “Watch out for the transformation of Aryana and how she will become a teen mermaid.”
Meanwhile, now that Neptuna (Desiree del Valle) kidnapped baby Aryana from Ofelia (Pokwang), what will her next steps be to seek revenge from Victor (Tonton Gutierrez) who accidentally killed her daughter. What life-changing curse will happen on Aryana’s 14th birthday?
Together with Ella, Pokwang, Tonton, and Desiree in “Aryana” is its powerhouse cast composed of Laurice Guillen, Tetchie Agbayani, Giselle Toengi, Rustica Carpio, Lotlot de Leon, Bianca Manalo, Chokoleit, Michelle Vito, David Chua, Boom Labrusca, Marvin Yap, Louise Abuel, and Paul Salas. It is under the direction of Erick Salud and Lino Cayetano.
