Queens of Philippine cinema, Helen Gamboa and Susan Roces remain the best of friends off-cam despite their characters’ heated rivalry in the top-rating Primetime drama series “Walang Hanggan.”
As avid viewers continue to despise her character, Helen admitted that she, too, detests the personality of Doña Margaret. “My character is such a snob. I cannot really imagine myself being Margaret. It’s the complete reverse although I do love playing her character because it is so challenging,” she said.
Far from Doña Margaret’s arrogance, Helen remains kind and sweet to her co-stars in real life. Susan shared that Helen even asked the staff to limit their scenes that require her to slap her co-actress because she doesn’t want to hurt her best friend. “Helen is like my little sister. We always bring food on the set to share with our co-actors,” Susan added.
Meanwhile, unlike the peaceful relationship between the cast and staff of “Walang Hanggan,” tension continues to arise among the characters after Doña Margaret discovered that Daniel (Coco Martin) is her real grandson. Will she finally admit the truth to her sister Manang Henya (Susan)? What will happen to the Montenegros when the Daniel’s true identity is revealed? Is Doña Margaret beginning to open her heart for her long lost grandson?
