ABS-CBN’s newest royal teleserye “Princess and I” instantly reigned in the hearts of TV viewers as its pilot episode soared high in the national TV ratings and became the top trending topic in the popular microblogging site Twitter.
According to the latest data from Kantar Media, “Princess and I” ruled its timeslot with a 31.7% national TV ratings, posting a 15.4 difference compared to the 16.3% national TV rating of its rival program “Biritera” of GMA.
The royal teleserye topbilled by the newest ‘primetime princess’ Kathryn Bernardo together with its powerhouse cast Albert Martinez, Gretchen Barretto, Precious Lara Quigaman, Enrique Gil, Daniel Padilla, and Khalil Ramos also became the no. 1 nationwide and worldwide trending topic in Twitter as fans expressed their praise and admiration for the show’s cast, plot, sceneries, musical score, and set. A lot of ‘tweetizens’ also commended the acting skills of Gretchen and Albert in the pilot episode.
Twitter was flooded with positive tweets such as: “@Kathnielfanbase: The #PrincessAndIPilotEpisode is really beautiful. The pilot episode is already thrilling.
