“Moron 5 and the Crying Lady” stars Luis Manzano, Billy Crawford, Martin Escudero, DJ Durano and Marvin Agustin playing the roles of five dimwitted friends. John “Sweet” Lapus portrays the crying lady. “Moron 5 and the Crying Lady” is considered as a welcome relief after the Lenten season and a perfect vehicle for Easter.
In two days, the film grossed, more or less P24M. “Since Monday was a holiday,” said a Viva Films insider, “the film grossed close to P10 million.
The film is Direk Wenn Deramas’ first directorial job for this year. Last year’s “Praybeyt Benjamin,” which he also directed, starring Vice Ganda in the title role, is considered as the biggest grossing Filipino film of all time. It was co-produced by Star Cinema and Viva Films.
