The untimely demise of Whitney Houston, hailed as the world’s most awarded female act of all times, has saddened not only international music scene, but also Filipino artists, especially those who began their careers by singing the legendary diva’s songs.
To pay tribute to Houston’s exemplary contribution to the development of popular music, MYX will air a special tribute entitled “Remembering Whitney: The MYX Music Memorial” on Wednesday (Feb 15), 7a.m., 1p.m., 5p.m. and 10p.m. and on Sunday (Feb 19), 10a.m.
MYX VJs Nikki, Bianca, Joyce and Mike will recount some of Whiney’s milestones and biggest hits that have captivated the hearts of Pinoys such as “I Will Always Love You,” “I Have Nothing,” “Greatest Love of All,” “Saving All My Love For You” and many more.
Also included in this tribute are the late singer’s early journeys and discographies before she became an acclaimed icon. Local artists, MYX VJs and Filipino fans will also share their experiences listening to Whitney’s songs and how the singer’s death has made an impact to them.
