Best things you can do in Baguio during Panagbenga Festival 2012

Baguio City is the summer capital of the Philippines, and one of the most popular tourist destinations in the land. Tourists flock to the mountain city in the summer to escape the city’s heat and during the Christmas season as an excuse to use winter clothing. It is known for its pine-scented cool breeze, provided by the many pine trees surrounding the whole city.

Aside from shopping, boating in Burnham Park, horseback riding in Wright Park, seeing the view stop Mines View Park, and doing all the other usual stuff in Baguio, here are some suggestions on places to visit and things to do in Baguio.

  • See the Grand Float Parade and the Grand Street dancing parade (see the article here)

This is the most anticipated event of the Panagbenga Festival. It is the Philippines’ version of the Pasadena Rose Parade, where motorized “floats” or carriages are decorated with fresh flowers.

  • Feel the serenity of your body, Sense the breeze in your face and Experience cool rejuvenation in Spa de Soleil (Baguio City) (see the article here)

That’s the best thing happened after the days of walking around and roaming around in Baguio. It will reorder and clear your thoughts thus bringing back your sanity before going back to Manila.

  • Visit the Tam-Awan Village, a reconstructed native village resembling the traditional village in Cordillera (see the article here)

This is an another tourist destination in Baguio City which is home for artists. This place houses a collection of various Ifugao and ang Kalinga arts are found. Feel and take a glimpse of Cordillera’s old way of living and lifestyle. This a remarkable place to people who appreciate arts.

  • Visit the Chinese Temple and the Bell Church, Baguio’s hidden secret (see the article here)

Bell Church is a Taoist church, and is open to public at 6am to 5pm. On the way to Bell Church, you can see there a narrow street, and that is the passage to Bell Church’s entrance. In there, the walls of the church are designed with Dragon statues.

Experience European lifestyle in the Philippines’ summer capital in Eurotel Hotel
Their location is perfect! A minutes-walk to Burnham Park, Baguio Orchidarium if your a green thumb, and pretty much at the center of everything. What makes this Eurotel great is the location is a walking distance to one of the best restaurant in Baguio and famous, Cafe by the Ruins. Its also near Legarda road and to the market.

    i been there 3 times already. Panagbenga is the best time to go to baguio. Problem is that the traffic is so heavy during that time 🙂
