A magical adventure will unfold on Philippine television as GMA Network launches the much awaited and heartwarming series about the life of a good teenage witch, “Alice Bungisngis and her Wonder Walis” beginning February 6.
The story of magical adventure of “Alice Bungisngis” starts today, which tells the story of a teen good witch. The title role is played by one of the hottest tween stars today — Bea Binene. Adding spice to the life of Alice is the respected actress Jean Garcia as Esmeralda. Also joining the cast are Jake Vargas as Ace, Derrick Monasterio as Spade, Janno Gibbs as Hilario, Lexi Fernandez as Quennie and Sheena Halili as Sinag.
The Story:
The story begins in a faraway province where witchery still exists. A kid was bewitched and will be brought to a sorceress named Tandang Alicia. She then discovers that her foster child Esmeralda was the one who cast a spell on the innocent kid.
Tandang Alicia treated Esmeralda as her own daughter, she taught her all the magical spells she knew and because of their closeness it will make Matilda, the real daughter of Tandang Alicia, envious.
As time passes by, Esmeralda starts to become obsessed with power and uses it for her personal gain. Tandang Alicia wants to stop her from being greedy, casting a spell on Esmeralda to make her look like an old tree. Sadly, Tandang Alicia’s life will be put to an end in exchange for the curse. Matilda grieves on the lost of her mother, but that will change soon as her baby girl is born. Her name is Alice.
Soon, happiness will fill the lives of Matilda and husband Hilario. Unknowingly, when Alice was born, Esmeralda returned.
Esmeralda commands her minions to look for the granddaughter of Tandang Alicia hoping that she is the one who could break the curse and transform her back to a human form. Esmeralda succeeds in her plan in getting Alice but Matilda and Hilario fight back. They are put under a spell — but Alice escapes and survives.
Her parents’ life will be miserable while Esmeralda becomes hopeless on breaking the curse cast upon her and will stop at nothing just to find her.
What life awaits Alice as she grows up and lives away from the protective care of her parents and discovers that she holds magical powers? Will she find her parents again? What will happen once she crosses paths with Esmeralda again?
