Studio 23 brings back the afternoon telenovela habit on Philippine free TV with the romantic-drama “A Blow to the Heart” which airs weekdays from 1:30 to 2:30 PM.
Follow the story of Valentina López (Danna Garcia), a secretary by day and a professional boxer by night. Known as “La Monita” in the boxing world, she is being trained by her own boyfriend Beto Ochoa (Raul Araiza) who puts her under so much pressure to win so he can get money for himself and his mother.
She may be facing tough physical challenges in the ring but can she face tough challenges that involve her heart? Valentina’s biggest bout happens daily in Sermeño Group, the company she is working for, as she has to deal with her boss, ex-car racer Mauricio Sermeño (Sebastian Rulli).
Their attraction to each other intensifies everyday, and so does the tension as they have to hide their love from their respective partners, Beto and Constanza (Laisha Wilkins), Mauricio’s fiancée.
