NEWS5, TV5’s News and Information Division, brings public service to new heights with the launch of its new public affairs program “T3: Kapatid, Sagot Kita!” bannered by the most formidable siblings in Philippine broadcasting—Raffy, Ben and Erwin Tulfo— beginning on September 5 (Monday) before AKSYON Prime on TV5.
Recognized for delivering immediate action to grievances raised by the public, the hard-hitting Tulfo brothers will join forces in a powerhouse public affairs program that brings voice to the voiceless and power to the powerless. With their long established influence and credibility, the Tulfos will pull their resources together to reach out to oppressed and underrepresented Filipinos who fall prey to graft and corrupt practices, crimes and social illnesses.
“Every single day, our public service units receive tons of complaints from our kababayans involving abuse of authority by different public officers. We also hear stories of women and children being severely treated. More than one year after the elections, we still see public officials who don’t deliver on their promises and duties. With glaring pictures of abuses and neglect, we cannot afford to sit back and do nothing. We must act on it now,” NEWS5 head Luchi Cruz-Valdes says of the birth of T3.
“We’re very pleased to welcome T3 aboard our line-up of service-driven programs. This cements our vision to serve the public in every way can. May bago nang sumbungan ang mamamayan,” the NEWS5 chief added.
T3 will feature several segments targeted to a specific area of concern.
While the current administration banners the “daang matuwid” (straight path) slogan, some government authorities still opt to take the rocky and twisted road. Action Man ng Bayan Erwin Tulfo will hold corrupt and negligent officials accountable in “Ambush.”
Meanwhile, as crimes come in different packages, the streets of Metro Manila and other major cities are becoming conducive to fraudsters and more dangerous for the public. Ben Tulfo will make sure perpetrators fall for law enforcers’ trap in “Modus.” The man of Bitag will also equip the public with tips and information to combat crimes.
As women and children are among the most fragile sectors in society, Utol ng Bayan Raffy Tulfo will rally their rights and defend them from abuses in “Resbak.”
The newest masses’ refuge will also provide other segments: “Kapatid, Sagot Kita,” will help speed up the process in government transactions and missing persons’ center “Missing.” And though T3 exposes faults in government, the show also aims to highlight the good in deserving officials in “Saludo.”
Catch the most fearless public service program to hit TV screens this Monday (September 5) before AKSYON Prime on TV5.
