Frencheska Farr, the star of the critically-acclaimed Filipino musical “Emir,” is thrilled by the awards she has received and is grateful that her efforts are being recognized.
Her superb sing-act performance for “Emir”” recently won her the Breakthrough Performance by an Actress at the Enpress Golden Screen Awards. She was also dubbed Best Female Model at the Asia Model Festival.
“I really feel so blessed. And at the same time, overwhelmed din po ako dahil as a new artist in the industry, di ko ine-expect na mare-recognize ako ng members of Enpress,” shares Francheska.
Aside from these, Cosmopolitan magazine included her in its group of “Fun, Fearless” awardees, while MEGA named her in its shortlist of Ten Most Beautiful People.
“Nakakagulat po talaga ‘yung ‘Most Beautiful list,” says the singer-actress.
“Sa totoo lang po matagal nagsink-in sa akin na totoo talaga na part ako nun. Talagang very thankful ako sa pag-ulan ng blessings sa akin at sa family ko.”
Asked about her idea of being beautiful, Francheska emphasized her sincere view of what for others is merely what’s outside.
“Para po sa akin ‘di lang ‘yung panlabas na itsura ang true beauty. Mas importante din na maganda ang ugali ng isang tao kasi magre-reflect naman po ‘yun sa panlabas na anyo.”
Last year, the GMA Artist Center talent released her debut album “Inside my Heart,” which includes singles such as “Isama Mo Ako,” the theme for currently airing “Captain Barbell.” She plays a provincial girl in the series top billed by Richard Gutierrez, who was also her partner in the music video of her single “Today, I’ll See The Sun.”
Noting her mainstream success in the music scene, the Guillermo Mendoza Awards named her the Most Promising Performer/Singer. Francheska regularly sings at GMA-7’s “Party Pilipinas” as she has now become a perennial singer of TV themes. The list includes her vocal takes on “Suddenly It’s Magic” (My Valentines Girls), “Sa Pangarap Ko” (Alakdana), “Hulog Ng Langit” (Langit Sa Piling Mo), and “Ang Pag-Ibig Kong Ito” (Temptation of a Wife).
