In an exclusive interview at TV5’s Novaliches City studio yesterday, Business Unit Head Jay Montelibano revealed to STIR.PH that the pullout of two advertisers in Willie Willie is “not hurting the show” and “temporary.” The interview took place at the new third level office of Wil Productions.
“The pullouts represent around two minutes of total advertising load, around nine placements. Although that decreases revenue, it’s not much of the gross revenue of P8.5 to P9.0 million that Willing Willie averages daily,” says Wil Ptoductions top guy who also handles marketing and advertising. “Willing Willie is still operating profitably.
Jay also disclosed that Willing Willie has not suffered a decrease in audience, whether live or remote. He recalls the time queue reached nine thousand people, requiring him to go down the audience supervise crowd management. He adds, “Audience share is the same in Mega Manila.”
About Mang Inasal, one of the companies who put on hold its ads in the show, Jay says, “It will come back eventually when the controversy has subsided as it has a three-month contract.”
He says not to have control over Del Monte Foods as it is a TV5 account.
