Glaiza De Castro was able to rest during the whole month of February after her hit show, “Grazilda,” ended.
But next week, she’ll start work on three new projects. Aside from playing the courageous teacher in “Patikul” (which her manager, Manny Valera, says is “pang-award”), she’ll also start the Cinemalaya entry, “E-Libing” for new director Rommel Sales, playing a videographer who shoots wakes and funerals. She’ll also start taping for “Amaya” starring Marian Rivera. We thought she’d no longer accept supporting roles after “Grazilda”?
“My manager initially rejected it but GMA7 explained na hindi ako kontrabida in the show,” she says. “Bida rin daw ako as the half-sister of Ate Marian. I’ll be there from start to finish and get to sing my own song. Sa’kin naman, walang problema kahit support ako as I really want to work with Ate Marian. Ang nakakakaba lang, topless daw lahat ng girls dito. Buhok lang ang takip sa dibdib.”
What about the films she’s supposed to do with Regal? “I don’t know when it’ll start. Sana nga, matuloy ‘yung ‘Aswang’ as it’s really a good project. Excited ako roon.”
Glaiza is so proud of the new home she bought for her family in Mapayapa Village in Quezon City. “At least, ito, sa amin na talaga. At last, may sarili na kaming bahay na galing sa pagpapagod ko.”
