It was previously reported here in Kapamilya101.co.nr that former Primetime Queen Kristine Hermosa was tapped to play the Philippine remake of the Mexican telenovela “Rubi”. However, due to her new “born again” status, the actress chose not to accept the project for its sexy and seductive role, citing it as against her religious beliefs.
According to sources, the role is now given to prima contravida Angelika Panganiban, for her first title role in primetime. She made a mark in Iisa Pa Lamang for her role Scarlet dela Rhea, thats why the management didn’t hesitate to give her such huge project.
Her leading man will be Diether Ocampo who just recently decided to stay as kapamilya after rumors of him switching mother studios. According to reports, Diether supposedly will star in the remake of Koreanovela “All About Eve”, opposite GMA prime actress Iza Calzado. But the ABS-CBN management made a very good offer the actor can’t resist.
This report now ends the speculations that Diether will transfer to ABS-CBN. After all, Diether is such a huge loss to ABS-CBN if he had transferred. What GMA lakcs most are bankable and effective leading men!
