GMA Network’s new primetime series “My Destiny” starring Carla Abellana, Tom Rodriguez, and Rhian Ramos registered a 22.7% rating on Monday, June 30 based on the data released by AGB Nielsen.
“My Destiny” debuted as #2 most-watched TV program (overall) on that day, “Niño” at #1. If that’s the case, “My Destiny” has already beaten top-rater “Ikaw Lamang” on its timeslot on Mega Manila households. Sad to say that AGB Nielsen ratings nowadays are very hard to find. We have only few limited resources for this one.

The Story:
“My Destiny” is the story of Grace Dela Rosa played by Carla Abellana, a woman who’s willing to sacrifice everything, even her romantic aspiration, for her family. Grace decided to work abroad and walk away from her own family to give way to her sister’s happiness. Saddened by Grace’s decision to work abroad, Matthew (Tom Rodriguez) continues his medical studies. Matthew then meets Joy at medical school.
Joy (played by Rhian Ramos) is the younger sister of Grace who suffers from leukemia. She’s losing her will to live until she meets Matthew. Will Joy’s illness lead her to fulfilling her heart’s desires?
Hoping to earn the love and attention of Grace is Jacob Perez (Sid Lucero) whom she will meet abroad. Being Grace’s only companion, Jacob will eventually develop feelings for her. Will he win the heart of Grace?
Over their intertwined love is the caring mother Agnes Dela Rosa (Lorna Tolentino), trying to balance her attention towards her daughters – Grace and Joy. Despite her tendency to focus on Joy, Agnes still tries to be there for Grace. But when she discovers her daughters’ affection on one man, can she be able to give a fair advice?
Can Grace and Matthew fight for their love when they know that Joy’s life is on the line? Will Joy learn to sacrifice for her sister’s happiness? Can Agnes sacrifice the happiness of Grace to keep her dying daughter Joy happy?
