Don Mariano Transit Corporations made headlines after its bus fell from Skyway in December, killing 22 passengers. The bus company’s franchise was already suspended recently by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
But before the Don Mariano bus Skyway accident, a bus owned by Elena Liner Corporation was involved in a collision that left six dead, and a Melben Motors Corporation bus killed seven.
What happened to the charges filed against these bus companies? Why do they continue to operate?
